At ThinkStory, we believe that effective content does not always require a massive production crew. For the Bespoke by Barrow project, our goal was straightforward yet vital. We needed to capture the energy and atmosphere of a rooftop mixer event to support their marketing efforts. We took a modern, agile approach by shooting exclusively on mobile phones, ensuring the content felt authentic and ready for social media consumption immediately.
The Challenge
Barrow possessed a fantastic asset in their rooftop space, but they needed a way to visually communicate its value to a specific audience. The primary objective was to market the venue to existing tenants and encourage them to book the space for their own year-end functions.
Additionally, the Barrow sales team and property agents faced a common hurdle. They needed fresh, dynamic assets they could easily share with prospects to prove the venue's potential. Static images often fail to convey the "vibe" of a live event, so the challenge was to create something lively that agents could send quickly via WhatsApp or email to help close deals.
The Solution
We decided to keep the production footprint light to maintain the authenticity of the event. Instead of disrupting the party with heavy cameras and lighting rigs, we used high-quality mobile phones to capture the action. This allowed us to blend into the crowd and record genuine moments of connection and enjoyment.
We then edited this footage into short, punchy pieces of content designed specifically for social media channels. By adopting this "social-first" editing style, we ensured the videos felt organic to the platforms they were published on, rather than looking like stiff corporate commercials. This approach allowed us to turn the project around quickly, ensuring Barrow had relevant content while the event was still fresh in people's minds.
